Our very own Justin Vandermotten is now "in training" for this fantastic cause raising money for a lovely little girl.
Speaking with Justin he explained why he is embarking on this gruelling challenge.
"A friend of ours came up with an idea that me and some very good friends will complete a 34-mile cycle then straight after climb Mount Snowden in Wales on Sunday 22nd July in aid of a poorly young girl from our area called Lottie.
By no means will this be easy as it will be mentally and physically challenging, but after meeting with Lottie and seeing what a beautiful girl she is and knowing she can have an amazing future, she will be worth every ache and pain of every mile. I have now begun my own personal fitness journey to ready myself for this challenge which is not going to be a task in itself, as I have not lifted a weight, rode a bike or even ran a mile over recent years, but I have the inspiration to go and GET FIT 😊"
Lottie is a 3 year old little girl who was diagnosed with Diplegic Cerebral Palsy which disables her from walking without assistance. Her family are trying so very hard to raise money so they can take her to America and gain her access to life changing surgery.
Having heard about Lottie's story, quickly a group of friends came up with the idea on how they could help....
Some very good friends of Lottie's family will complete a 34-mile cycle then straight after climb Mount Snowden in Wales on Sunday 22nd July.
